Cell membrane (Animal and Plant)
A flexible covering that protects the inside of a cell from the environment outside a cell.
Cell wall (Plant)
A structure outside the cell membrane that protects a cell from attack by viruses and other harmful organisms
Cytoplasm (Animal and Plant)
The jelly-like substance within a cell that holds organelles and it allows transport of materials within the cell.
The Vacuole (Animal and Plant)
A membrane-bound organelle that stores nutrients, waste, and water, maintaining water balance.
Nucleus (Animal and Plant)
The brain of the cell controls cell activities and contains genetic material.
Chloroplasts (Plant)
Produce energy through photosynthesis and oxygen release processes ,which sustain plant growth.
Mitochondria (Animal and Plant)
The powerhouse of the cell that provides energy to run the cell’s activities.
Ribosomes (Animal and Plant)
To make protein for the cell
Rough endoplasim (Animal)
Studded with ribosomes, it produces proteins for export or membrane incorporation.
Smooth endoplasmic (Animal)
Blend lipids, including phospholipids and steroids.
Lysosomes (Animal)
Organelles that contain enzymes to break down waste materials and cellular debris.
