Federalism
A system of government that divides power between a strong national government and state governments.
Implied Powers Doctrine
An interpretation by the Supreme Court that the national government has powers beyond those explicitly enumerated in the Constitution.
Supremacy Clause
A clause in the Constitution that establishes federal law as the supreme law of the land, overriding conflicting state laws.
Enumerated Powers
