most of this is common sense so I didn't include it here

digital divide

gap between individuals/groups who have access to digital tech and those who do not

access divide

not everyone has the same access to smartphones, computers, the Internet (lower-income or rural)

usage divide

even if individuals do have access to digital tech, they might lack the skills to make use of them (older gen, lack education)

factors contributing to the digital divide

low income, rural areas, inequalities in education, generational differences

solutions aimed at narrowing the digital divide

broadband infrastructure expansion (rural areas), affordable internet access for low-income families, digital literacy programs, device access, public wi-fi access, gov policies, telehealth expansion, digital equity task forces
