an American composer who preferred the Romantic style of music. He believed that music should express your thought and emotion so his music is lyrical.
Béla Bartók
a Hungarian composer who was considered one of the most important composers of the 1900s. He collected and studied folk music and incorporated it into his own.
Modernism
a genre of music that didn’t have one single style or language as composers believed that music should always change. Rejected tonality and traditional forms.
Celesta
a percussion instrument that looks like a small upright piano. Instead of strings, it has metal bars and sounds twinkly.
