What to read after the snap

  • Watch the center and running back for run/pass clues.

  • Watch the QB’s shoulders, not only her eyes.

  • Stay square and shuffle until she knows where the ball is going.

  • On an RPO, wait until the ball is clearly handed off, kept, or thrown.

  • Follow her assigned player—don’t try to cover the QB and RB simultaneously.
