What are gallstones?
small stones formed from concentrated bile from the bile ducts that form within the gallbladder
What are effects?
acute cholecystitis, acute cholangitis, and pancreatitis

Fat, fair, female, forty
What are the symptoms?
the most common one is biliary colic. It’s caused by stone temporarily obstructing drainage of the gallbladder.
Question that’s on test
Fat entering the digestive system causes (CCK) secretion from the duodenum. CCK triggers contraction of the gallbladder, which leads to biliary colic. patients with this are advised to avoid fatty foods to prevent CCK release and gallbladder contraction.
