Spaced Repetition
A study technique involving intervals of reviewing material to improve retention.
Forced Recall
The process of retrieving information from memory without cues, such as testing oneself on material instead of just reading it.
Differential Equation
An equation that relates a function to its derivatives; used in mathematics to model various phenomena.
First Order Differential Equation
A differential equation involving only the first derivative of a function, with no higher derivatives present.
Integral Curves
The family of solutions to a differential equation, illustrating how the solutions change under different initial conditions.
Initial Conditions
Specific values of the function at a particular point, used to find particular solutions to differential equations.
Separable Differential Equation
A type of differential equation that can be expressed in the form where all terms involving one variable are on one side and those involving the other variable on the opposite side.
Antiderivative
A function whose derivative is the given function. In the context of differential equations, it corresponds to the general solution.
General Solution
The family of all possible solutions to a differential equation, often including arbitrary constants.
Specific Solution
A solution to a differential equation that satisfies given initial conditions.
