The highest leader of the Catholic Church.

The symbol of Christianity that represents the love of Jesus for the world.
Islam
The youngest of the major world religions and the second largest in the world.
Muhammad
The founder and last prophet of the religion of Islam.
Allah
The Arabic word for 'one true God' used in Islam.
Koran (Qur’an)
The holy book of the Muslims.
Shahadah
The pillar of Islam representing faith.
Salah
The pillar of Islam representing the practice of praying five times a day.
Zakat
The pillar of Islam representing the act of helping those in need.
Sawm
The pillar of Islam representing fasting.
Hajj
The pillar of Islam involving a pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
Ka’aba
The house of worship or the direction that Muslims face while praying.
Imam
The Muslim Community Leader who leads the prayer in the Mosque.
Mosque
The place of worship for Muslims.
Crescent moon
The symbol of Islam associated with the start of each month in the Islamic Lunar Calendar.
Hinduismo
The oldest religion in the world and the third largest today; it is also the primary religion of India.
Brahman
The most powerful spirit in Hinduism, considered as God.
Brahma
The Hindu deity known as the Creator.
Vishnu
The Hindu deity known as the Preserver.
Shiva
The Hindu deity known as the Destroyer.
Om
The symbol of Hinduism and the most sacred syllable used in Hindu prayers.
Vedas
The holy scriptures of the Hindus.
Guru
The spiritual leaders of Hinduism.
Ganges River
Considered the holiest place in the Hindu religion where thousands perform pilgrimages.
Reincarnation
The belief that the soul is reborn after death.
Karma
The belief that every action has a corresponding consequence.
Judaism
One of the oldest monotheistic religions, starting approximately 3,000 years ago.
Yahweh
The God worshipped by the Jews, who saved the people of Israel from slavery in Ehipto.
Tanakh
The Holy Book of Judaism.
Torah
The teachings contained in the first five books of the Bible: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy.
Synagogue
The place of worship for Jewish people.
Rabbi
The leader of Judaism who teaches the lessons of the Torah.
Star of David
Also called the Shield of David, it is the symbol of Judaism honoring David who led the kingdom of Israel.
Siddharta Gautama
A prince born in Lumbini, Nepal, who founded Budismo after seeking enlightenment.
Buddha
A title meaning 'The Enlightened One'.
Dharma Wheel
The symbol of Buddhism representing Buddha's teachings, samsara (cycle of life), and dharma (path to salvation).
Four Noble Truths
The four great truths of life in Buddhism stating that life has suffering, suffering has a cause, it can end, and there is a path to end it.
Eightfold Path
The eight correct paths of life in Buddhism, including Right View, Right Intention, Right Speech, Right Action, Right Livelihood, Right Effort, Right Mindfulness, and Right Concentration.
Nirvana
The ultimate goal in Buddhism involving enlightenment and becoming free from the cycle of life.
Mahayana Buddhism
A sect of Buddhism emphasizing helping others achieve enlightenment; practiced in China, Korea, Japan, and Vietnam.
Theravada Buddhism
A sect of Buddhism emphasizing individual effort to achieve enlightenment; practiced in Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia.
