They created one of the world's first libraries in Nineveh and were influential in the development of Mesopotamian culture. Built around military using state of the art weapons and siege techniques, the Assyrian Empire expanded through conquest and established a highly organized administration. Their leader Sennacherib bragged he destroyed 89 cities. The king appoints governors for each region conquered. They fell apart due to chaldeans invading them and Ashurbanipal’s death.

Chaldeans (Neo Babylonians)

Chaldeans conquered the Assyrians it lasted from 612 BC-532 BC. Their most famous king is Nebuchadnezzar. He built the Ishtar gate at 575 BC. They excelled in Astronomy and Math. They conquered Jerusalem and enslaved the Hebrews. They were the first people to build gardens for pleasure and not for food. After Nebuchadnezzar weak kings took power and fell to the Persians.
