includes thyroid hormone, epinephrine, some neurotransmitters like glutamate (all derived from tyrosine or tryptophan)
steroid hormones
hormones that are insoluble in water and therefore are transported in the blood via other proteins, includes testosterone, estrogen, cortisone, etc.
