Apparatus
Weigh boat, electronic balance, glass rod, funnel, beaker, volumetric flask, wash bottle
Step 1
Using an electronic balance, place a weigh boat and zero the balance and weigh out 2.65g of sodium carbonate
Step 2
Wash off all traces of sodium carbonate into a beaker with 100cm cubed of water using a wash bottle.
Step 3
Using a glass rod, stir until the sodium chloride is dissolved
Step 4
Pour the solution into the volumetric flask using a funnel and fill up to the graduation mark
Step 5
Put on the stopper and invert the solution 20 times to ensure a homogenous solution
