Resistors in Parallel

An arrangement of resistors connected between the same two ends or points, where the potential difference $V$ across each individual resistor is the same while the current $I$ is different.

Potential Difference ($V$) in a Parallel Circuit

The voltage across each individual resistor which remains identical to the potential difference across the whole parallel combination.

Current ($I$) in a Parallel Circuit

The total electric current flowing through the circuit, which splits and differs across each individual parallel resistor branch.

Voltmeter

A measuring device connected in parallel with a resistor or combination of resistors to measure potential difference $V$.
