Resistors in Parallel
An arrangement of resistors connected between the same two ends or points, where the potential difference V across each individual resistor is the same while the current I is different.
Potential Difference (V) in a Parallel Circuit
The voltage across each individual resistor which remains identical to the potential difference across the whole parallel combination.
Current (I) in a Parallel Circuit
The total electric current flowing through the circuit, which splits and differs across each individual parallel resistor branch.
Voltmeter
A measuring device connected in parallel with a resistor or combination of resistors to measure potential difference V.
Parallel Combination XY
A setup in Activity 12.6 consisting of three resistors with resistances R1, R2, and R3 connected together in parallel.
