Computer Programming
Process of writing or coding a series of instructions or source code for the computer to follow.
Progamming Tool
Known as a system development tool, is any software or program used to design, create, debug, and maintain the developed program.
Compiler
Program that converts and translates the source codes or the instructions into object codes or machine language
Linker
Computer program that combines the object code produced by the compiler.
Debugger
Program that identifies and removed syntax errors.
Assembler
Converts the instructions from the computer using an assembly language.
Load tester
It is tested using a specialized software called a load tester. Can be a website used to simulate the actual loading of a developed computer application.
Text Editor
It is a software that allows the creation, editing, and opening of text files.
GUI Designer
Graphical User Interface ( GUI ) Designer or Integrated Development Environment ( IDE) or Rapid Application Development Integrated Development Environment ( RAD IDE ) is a programming tool that simplifies the development of computer programs.
Drawing Tablet
Known as a graphics tablet, used to draw outlines, images, and other graphic elements for digital display or printing.
Stylus
A device that is used to draw and manipulate simple to complex lines and shapes.
Desktop Computer
Due to it’s processing power, storage capacity, and ability to support multiple large screens, a desktop computer becomes an essential tool in digital visual arts.
Graphic Design Software
Used to edit, create, and modify digital illustrations.
Photo Editing Software
Used to edit or alter digital photographs or images to improve and enhance their quality and appearance when inserted into a digital art work.
Desktop Publishing Software
Used to create digital page designs for print or digital publishing.
Computer System Servicing
Process of setting up, fixing, and maintaining a computer system and it’s hardware components.
Philips-head Screwdriver
Cross-shapes, pointed edge used to install or remove screws. Usually has plastic or rubber handles, 3-6 inches in length. Made from steel.
Flat-head screw driver
Type of screwdriver that has a flat, wedge-shaped tip, used to tighten or loosen screws with a straight notch.
Torx Screwdriver
Has a 6-point star-shaped tip, also called as a star screwdriver.
Needle-nose pliers
Known as long nose pliers, used to cut or twist wires.
Hex Driver
Known as a nut driver, used to tighten or loosen nuts with a hexagonal shape.
Tweezers
Used to grab, grip, remove, or transfer small or delicate items or components that are too small for the fingers to hold.
Wire cutter
Or cable cutters, used to safely and properly cut wires or cables with minimal damage.
Wire stripper
Essential tool used to strip or remove the insulation from a wire without damaging the copper.
Crimper
Also called as crimping tool, used to hold materials together and create a deal once both materials are securely joined.
Soft Cloth
Microfiber cloth, softest cloth, used to gently wipe hardware components.
Cable Tie
Flexible plastic or nylon material with smooth and threaded sides, used to tie and hold wire strands helping to keep the computer system organized.
Compressed Air
Used to blow away dust and other materials stuck in various hardware components.
Parts Organizer
Used to hold and organize screws, bolts, nuts, and other tools.
Digital Multimeter
Measuring and diagnostic tool used to measure/determine voltage, current, and resistance in electronic components.
Loopback Adapter
Used in computer networking
Toner Probe
Used to locate cables, such as modem cables, phone lines, and other networking cables.
Telecommunications

Telephone
Used to transmit dats and information in the form of voice over a certain distance
Modem
Stands for modulator-demodulator. It is a network communication tool that connects a home to the internet.
Router
Provides Wi-Fi connectivity and is usually connected to a modem.
