Triangle of Auscultation
An anatomical area bounded superiorly by the Trapezius m., laterally by the medial border of scapula, and inferiorly by the Latissimus dorsi m.
Triangular Space
An anatomical space bounded superiorly by the Teres minor m., inferiorly by the Teres major m., and laterally by the long head of triceps brachii m.; contains the circumflex scapular vessels.
Quadrangular Space
An anatomical space bounded superiorly by the Teres minor m., inferiorly by the Teres major m., medially by the long head of triceps brachii m., and laterally by the shaft of humerus; contains the posterior circumflex humeral vessels and axillary n.
Cubital Fossa (Borders and Floor)
An anatomical space bounded medially by the Pronator teres m., laterally by the Brachioradialis m., and superiorly by a line between the epicondyles of the humerus. Its floor consists of the Brachialis m. and Supinator m.
Cubital Fossa (Contents)
Contains, from lateral to medial, the tendon of biceps brachii m., brachial a., and median n. The median cubital v. lies superficial to the contents.
Carpal Tunnel
An anatomical space formed anteriorly from a deep arch formed by carpal bones & flexor retinaculum. Transmits 10 structures: 4 tendons of flexor digitorum profundus m., 4 tendons flexor digitorum superficialis m., tendon of flexor pollicis longus m., and median n.
