Serous membrane
Thin membrane that lines the internal body cavities and organs, like the heart and lungs.
Mucous membrane
Membrane that lines body cavities and canals that lead outside, like respiratory and digestive tracts.
Anterior
Front of the body.
Posterior
Further back in position; of or nearer the rear.
Dorsal
Relating to the upper back of the body.
