What is a dividend?
The amount being divided.
Where does the dividend go in a division problem?
Goes on the inside of the division symbol.
What is a divisor?
The number by which another number is being divided.
Where does the divisor go in a division problem?
Goes on the outside of the division symbol.
What is a quotient?
The answer to a division problem.
What does 'annex' mean in the context of decimals?
Adding zeros to the end of a number without changing its value.
When dividing a decimal by a whole number, what do you do with the decimal point?
Pull the decimal straight up into the quotient.
