For example, oxygen and carbon dioxide exchange in the lungs.

For example, in the kidneys during urine formation.

For example, in kidney tubules and intestinal cells.

From high concentration to low concentration.

Against the concentration gradient, from low concentration to high concentration.

"Cell drinking"; taking in extracellular fluid and dissolved substances.

Endocytosis in which specific substances bind to receptors before being taken into the cell.
What is the difference between endocytosis and exocytosis?
Endocytosis brings materials in; exocytosis sends materials out.

Phagocytosis.

Pinocytosis.
