Cholecystitis
Inflammation of the gallbladder, can be acute or chronic.
Cholelithiasis
Gallstones within the gallbladder obstructing the common bile and cystic ducts.
Cholecystitis: Lab Values
Increased WBC, Alkaline phosphatase, AST, LDH, Serum bilirubin levels.

Acute or persistent pain and weight loss.
Acute Pancreatitis
Life-threatening inflammation of the pancreas.
Complications of Acute Pancreatitis
Hypovolemia, hemorrhage, Grey Turners sign, DIC, Cullens sign, Acute kidney failure, Paralytic ileus, hypovolemic or septic shock, Multisystem Organ failure, Diabetes.
Acute Pancreatitis: Signs and Symptoms
Severe abdominal pain, often mid-epigastric or LUQ, and jaundice.

Amylase, Lipase, Serum bilirubin and alkaline phosphatase, ALT, WBC, ESR

Severe acute pain and weight loss.
Chronic Pancreatitis
Progressive destructive disease of pancreas characterized by remissions and exacerbations
Chronic Pancreatitis: Signs and Symptoms
Abdominal pain, ascites, respiratory compromise, steatorrhea, weight loss, jaundice, dark urine, polyuria, polydipsia, polyphagia
Pancreatic Cancer
Difficult to diagnose, treatment has limited results, low 5-year survival rates, VTE is a common complication.
Pancreatic Cancer: Signs and Symptoms
Slow, vague presentation; jaundice (late), weight loss, anorexia, nausea, vomiting
Whipple Procedure
Radical pancreaticoduodenectomy involving resection of the proximal pancreas, adjoining duodenum, distal portion of the stomach, and distal portion of the common bile duct
