Main Motion
A motion made to bring a particular subject before the assembly for consideration, debatable, amendable, and subject to various subsidiary motions.
Original Main Motion
A type of main motion introducing a new subject for assembly action, often in the form of a resolution.
Incidental Main Motion
A main motion related to the assembly's business or past/future actions, such as accepting a committee's report.
Subsidiary Motions
Motions applied to other motions to modify them, postpone action, or refer to a committee, superseding the main motion until decided.

A subsidiary motion to set aside the pending main motion temporarily.
Incidental Motions
Motions arising from or related to pending questions, taking precedence over them and yielding to privileged motions.
Privileged Motions
