Titration
A process of determining the concentration of a solution by reacting it with a solution of known concentration.
NaOH
Sodium hydroxide. Determine the concentration of NaOH by titration with a standardized HCl solution.
HCl
Hydrochloric acid. Used as the titrant with a known concentration of 0.10 mol/L to determine the concentration of NaOH.
Fenolftaleïne
An acid-base indicator used to visualize the endpoint of the titration, when the solution turns colorless.
Buret
A piece of lab equipment used to accurately dispense a titrant (HCl) into the analyte (NaOH). Measure the initial and final volumes of HCl used.
Titration Calculation
Calculate the concentration of NaOH in mol/L using the average volume of HCl used in the titrations.
