  • ITV - uses advertising so has a much higher income can spend money on better sets, celebrities ect

  • BBC - lower budget (only from TV listecenses) so can’t spend as much on sets ect

  • BBC- cannot be biased in new reports ect ItV under no obligation

  • ITV- make shows like Love Island that are non-controversial to gain viewers and so profit

  • BBC must stick to remit so make docs, sports, dramas ect for diverse audience
