binocular cues

require two eyes

retinal disparity

images from the two eyes differ; the closer the object the greater the disparity

convergence (neuromuscular cue)

when two eyes move inward to see near objects and outward to see faraway objects; the more inward your eyes turn, the closer the object is

relative size

if two objects are similar in size we perceive the smaller one to be farther away

relative height

we perceive objects that are higher in our field of vision to be farther away than those that are lower

interposition

objection that are blocked seem farther

relative clarity

we perceive hazy objects to be farther than those that appear sharp and clear

texture gradient

we perceive things that appear airbrushed to be farther away than those with detail

linear perspective

the more the lines converge, the greater the distance appears

light and shadow

given two identical objects the dimmer one appears to be farther away

relative motion/motion parallax

the closer the object, the faster it seems to be moving; also as you move one way, static objects seem to be moving the opposite way
