Self-management
The ability to control one's emotions, thoughts, and behaviour effectively in different situations, including motivating oneself and setting goals.
Self-awareness
The ability to identify and understand one's own inner strengths, hidden talents, skills, and weaknesses by asking for honest feedback and reflecting on daily interactions.
Responsibility
Taking complete ownership for assigned tasks and reporting/correcting issues if tasks are not completed on time.
Time Management
The ability to plan and control how you spend the hours of your day well to complete all tasks efficiently and avoid wasting time.
Adaptability
Staying current with best practices and new information to prepare for changes and transition seamlessly.
Stress
Our emotional, mental, physical, and social reaction to any perceived demands or threats.
Stressors
The perceived demands or threats that cause stress.
ABC of Stress Management
A framework where A stands for Adversity (the stressful event), B stands for Beliefs (the way you respond to the event), and C stands for Consequences (actions and outcomes of the event).
Ability to Work Independently
The capacity to be self-aware, self-monitoring, self-correcting, taking initiative without being told what to do, recognizing mistakes without blaming others, and learning continuously.
Emotional Intelligence
The ability to identify and manage one's own emotions, as well as the emotions of others.
Emotional Awareness
The ability to identify and name one's own emotions.
Harnessing Emotions
The ability to harness and apply emotions to tasks like thinking and problem solving.
Managing Emotions
The ability to regulate one's own emotions when necessary and help others to do the same.
Interests
Things that you like to do in your free time that make you happy, curious, or eager to learn in the future.
Abilities
An acquired or natural capacity that enables an individual to perform a particular job or task with considerable proficiency.
Self-motivation
The force within you that drives you to do things and achieve goals without requiring external influence or push.
Internal Motivation
Motivation driven by personal satisfaction and love for an activity because it makes you happy, healthy, and feel good.
External Motivation
Motivation driven by external rewards such as respect, recognition, appreciation, or prizes.
Goals
A set of dreams with a deadline to achieve them.
Goal Setting
The process of finding and listing your goals and planning how to achieve them.
SMART Goals
A goal-setting method where goals are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Time-bound.
