What is the definition of a network?
A group of connected, communicating devices such as computers and printers.
What is an internet?

What is an Internet Standard?
A thoroughly tested specification that is adhered to by those who work with the Internet.
What is the process for a specification to become an Internet Standard?
It starts as an Internet draft which then branches into 3 which are experimental, and if good, proceeds to proposed standard, straight to proposed standard, or informational(which goes straight to historic), undergoes testing and revisions, and may achieve different maturity levels such as Proposed Standard (6 months and 2 tries before progressing), Draft Standard(four months and 2 tries), and finally Internet Standard.
