what are some rules for making casual verbs/adjectives

  1. if ending is ㅏ(ㅑ), or ㅗ(ㅛ), then add' ‘아’

    • 살다 → 살아 (to live)

  2. if ending isn’t ㅏ(ㅑ), or ㅗ(ㅛ), then add ‘어’

    • 먹다 → 먹어

    • 쓰다 → 써

  3. when verb ends in ‘ㅡ’, drop it

  4. when there is no final consonant 아/어 is combined with stem

    • 오다 → 와 (come)

    • 주다 → 줘 (give)

  5. if stem ends in 하, it becomes 해

    • 이야기다 → 이야기해 (talk)
