-Cannot be categorized between the fine arts and the decorative arts, resulting in different classifications altogether.

Contemporary Art Forms

Used by French artist, Jean Dubuffet to describe a series of artworks made from paper collages, wood scraps, and other found objects.

Started with small-scale pieces, today it includes larger objects and discards.

Performance Arts

-A mix of visual and performing arts.
-medium is the artist himself/herself.
-The artwork is the acting and movements
-Music and sound are often incorporated]

Installation Arts

• arrangement of objects in a given space (giving meaning to it).
  -temporary work of art and allows the viewers to move around and immerse themselves

Mobile

• A sculptural work suspended from the ceiling
• made with balancing rods dangling at different lengths carrying one or more elements.
• a kinetic sculpture since it moves due to its interaction with the wind.
• Pioneered by American artist, Alexander Calder.
