negation with aller
Place ne … pas/jamais/rien etc. around the conjugated verb (e.g., "Je ne vais pas," "Il ne va jamais").
inversion for questions (aller)
Invert verb and subject pronoun—except with je—to ask a question (e.g., "Vas-tu ?," "Va-t-il ?").
-t- insertion
Add ‑t- between "va" and pronoun when subject is il/elle/on to ease pronunciation (e.g., "Va-t-elle ?").
negative inversion
For negative questions, place ne … pas around the inverted pair (e.g., "Ne vas-tu pas ?," "Ne va-t-il pas ?").
imperative of aller
Command forms: Tu → "Va !"; Nous → "Allons !"; Vous → "Allez !" (behave like regular ‑er verb commands).
using est-ce que with je
Because inversion is rarely used with je, form questions with "est-ce que" instead (e.g., "Est-ce que je vais ?").
