Chapter 1
Pepino and Panzón are detectives who are on vacation in Acapulco, Mexico. They are on the beach and decided to go eat at a restaurant. While at the restaurant they overheard a dad and daughter talking about a problem they have. Pepino decide he wants to help them.
Chapter 2
Sam and Sandy Dallas are a dad and daughter from Texas. Sandy attends school at UNAM. Sam wants to have a house here to visit her, so he buys a house from Mario Martinez. Ever since they moved into the house, weird things have been happening. There was a note stuck on the door with a knife and blood, that warned them to leave. The police wont help them because they are preoccupied with other things.
Chapter 3
They all drive to Sam and Sandy Dallas’s house to investigate. When they arrive, Sandy sees something moving inside. There is also a painting hanging on the wall with eyes moving. Panzón gets locked inside a room and Pepino goes to help him, but falls down the stairs. Claiming that something touched his legs.
Chapter 4
The group goes to get food and meet up with Mario Martinez, the man who sold them the house. After they eat they decide to go watch the divers. Panzón stays behind to rest on a bench because he was tired. Then a man with a scar started following Panzón. Suddenly Panzón falls into the water. Sam, Pepino, and Mario save him and pull him out of the ocean.
Chapter 5
Doña Iguana warned the group of danger. Mario invites the group to go on the boat he rented. Then the engine of the boat broke. And then Pepino fell into the sea with a shark. And Sandy jumped in to save him.
Chapter 6
Pepino had discovered a clue with the matches, which were in scripted with “Banco de Cuernavaca.” So they left to go to the bank. But on the way, a black car with Doña Iguana’s driver was following them. And the car tried to run into the group.
Chapter 7
They made it to Cuernavaca. But the bank was closed because there were bandits who robbed the bank the day before. The realized that the bandits that robbed the bank took the same matches as the ones that were left in the house. Then they realized that the driver was still following them, and so they tried to catch him, but didn’t.
Chapter 8
They went to a market and saw aggressive sellers. And saw two men in the shade. Pepino and Panzón overheard their conversation, “the researchers have not taken the threats, the boss says we have another shelter, we are going to divide the money tonight.” They realized that the men were talking about them. Panzón recognized the man who had pushed him into the sea. Pepino recognized the driver of the black car. Then Sandy tries to call Mr. Dallas and he doesn’t answer. Sandy is afraid because she thinks her father is in danger.
Chapter 9
They went back to the house to investigate. And found Mr. Dallas locked in a closet tied up. Panzón saw the black car that was following them near the house. Then they thought it’s impossible for the car to be in two places at the same time, so there might be more than one bandit. Lastly Mr. Dallas fell to the ground and Panzón thinks he is dead.
Chapter 10
They were in the house. Then Pepino suspects that Mario is head of the bandits. And it was storming. Then Panzón discovered a secret tunnel.
Pepino González

Man, married, fat, good humor, practical, realistic, likes food, Pepinos assistant.
Sandy Dallas
Woman, pretty, likes history, is a student at UNAM, is Sam Dallas’s daughter.

Man, Sandy Dallas’s father.
Mario Martínez
Man, handsome, young, lawyer, sold Sam Dallas the house.
Doña Iguana
Woman, grey hair, bad temper, rich, spiritualist, Mr. Dallas’s neighbor.
