The social sciences are academic disciplines that study human beings and how they interact with one another and the world around them.

Anthropology

• Studies the behavior of different human cultures*

• Looks at who we are shaped by our past

Psychology

• Studies how the mind* influences our behavior

• The way we think,act, ect

Sociology

• Studies humans and how they act/change their behavior based on what social groups* that they belong to

Ethics

• Knowing what is right and wrong

Data

• Data is a collection of raw unorganized facts or observations used to create meaningful information

What do Social Scientists use to support their ideas and whats controversial around the ethics of it?

Social Scientists use data collected to draw conclusions about a question

• they must do this ethically but thats not always the case, data is private and must be shared with consent but that may change the outcome of a study given the participants know they are being recorded
