Is made to restructure the debate through caucuses
Moderated Caucus
A debate format where the topic focuses on a sub-issue.
Ex. If the topic is about women’s rights, you can ask for a ________ caucus specifically about the femicide in Mexico.
What is the procedure for asking for a moderated caucus?
You must include the length of the caucus and the speaking time.
Ex. “Motion for a 7-minute moderated caucus, with a 30 second speaking time on the topic of femicide in Mexico.”
Unmoderated Caucus
Where delegates are allowed to leave their seats and talk with other delegates. (Typically, when resolutions are being drafted)
Yield to the Chair
Where you give up the rest of your time.
Yield to another delegate
Where you give your remaining time to another delegate (Your chair must permit this, it can vary with every committe)
Yield to questions
You can use your remaining time to answer questions from other delegates(Chair must allow it)
