An increase in the consumption of luxury goods and products by individuals from different economic and social backgrounds during the 17th century and mid 18 century. This revolution saw the departure from the traditional way of life. The consumer revolution will see people not caring about how old, but now how new something is.

Task and Gang System

Developed in the late 18th century in the deep south. The Task system assigned a quota of work that is supposed to be done that day while the Gang system was a body of workers where everybody was doing the same thing at the same time. The task system will create a new culture for enslaved Africans.

A journey by sea from west Africa to the new world. 16th century to the 19th century. The middle passage provided the new world with its major workforce and brought large profits to the international slave trade.

An armed rebellion held by Virginia settlers that took place in the late 17th century. This rebellion will lead to Virginia and neighboring colonies steering away from indentured servants and invest more towards enslaved people.

The navigation acts were a way for England to promote self sufficiency. There were a total of three acts during the 17th century all with the intentions of restricting colonial trade only to England and decreasing dependence on foreign imported goods. This would force the American colonies economy to be centered around England and the British empire.

The seven year war was a global conflict that involved most of the European superpowers in the mid 18th century. The result of the seven year war saw Great Britain gaining Canada and all lands east of the Mississippi and Florida.
