Level I Fieldwork Instructional Methods
Simulated environments, standardized patients, faculty practice, faculty-led site visits, and supervision by a fieldwork educator
Level I Fieldwork Timeline
Spring I: 1st adult comprehensive competency
Summer II: Developmental and Cognitive Behavioral Experiences
Spring II: 2nd adult comprehensive Competency
Level II Fieldwork Goals
Deliver OT services to clients, apply purposeful and meaningful occupation and research
Administration
Management of OT services
To develop competent, entry-level, generalist occupational therapists
Level II Fieldwork Supervision
Currently licensed OT with a minimum of 1-year experience
OR at least 3-years experience is required for fieldwork supervision where no OT services exist
Fieldwork Progression Level I
Designed to enrich coursework through directed observation and participation in selected aspects of OT
Fieldwork Progression Level II
In depth experiences designed to develop competent, entry-level, generalist practitioners through exposure to a variety of clients across the lifespan and a variety of settings
