Law of Reflection
States that the angle of incidence is equal to the angle of reflection.
Incident Ray
The ray of light directed towards a surface before it is reflected.
Reflected Ray
The ray of light that is emitted after hitting a surface.
Normal Line
An imaginary line perpendicular to the surface at the point of incidence.
Regular Reflection
Smooth surface reflection where light is reflected evenly.
Irregular Reflection
Reflection from a rough surface that causes light to scatter.
Angle of Incidence
The angle between the incident ray and the normal line.
Angle of Reflection
The angle between the reflected ray and the normal line.
Virtual Image
An image formed by reflected rays that appears to be behind the mirror.
Lateral Inversion
The reversal of left and right in a mirror image.
