One Step Equations
Equations solved using inverse operations, such as addition/subtraction and multiplication/division.
Two Step Equations
Equations solved by distributing first, then applying reverse PEMDAS.
Multi-Step Equations
Equations solved by distributing and combining like terms, then applying reverse PEMDAS.
Equations with Variables on Both Sides
Equations solved by getting all variables on one side and all constants on the other side.
One Solution
An equation outcome where the variable equals a single numeric value, represented as x=#.
No Solution
An equation outcome that results in a false statement, such as 4=5.
Infinite Solutions
An equation outcome that results in a true statement, such as 5=5.
Word Problem Equations
The process of writing and solving equations when provided with a written scenario.
