What is a fuel?
A fuel is a substance that stores energy in the chemical store and is released by burning and transferred to its surroundings as the form of heat

What is the definition of combustion?
Combustion is the burning / chemical reaction involving a fuel and oxygen that transfers its energy to its surroundings in the form of light or heat.

What is the word equation for the combustion or methane?
Methane + Oxygen → Carbon dioxide + Water
What is decomposition?
It is the break down of one compound into simpler compounds or elements.
What is thermal decomposition?
It is the break down of one compound into one or more simpler compounds or elements by using heat.

What is the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide?
Hydrogen Peroxide → Water + Oxygen

What is the thermal decomposition of copper carbonate?
Copper carbonate → Copper oxide + Carbon dioxide
What is the thermal decomposition of magnesium nitrate?
Magnesium nitrate → Magnesium oxide + nitrogen dioxide + oxygen

What is the law of conservation of mass?
When the mass of the reactants is the same as the products in a chemical reaction.
True or False: Is the number of atoms conserved in a chemical reaction in the reactants and products?
True!

Why do we use balanced symbol equations?
Because it shows the formulae of the reactants and products and it show how the atoms are arranged.
True or False: Mass is always gained or lost in a chemical reaction.
False
