how can you find the speed of something?
Distance (m) /time (s) = speed (m/s)
how can you find the weight of something?
Weight (N) = Gravity (N/kg) X Mass (kg)
how do you find the pressure of something?
Pressure (Pa) = Force (N) /Area (m X m)
how do you find the density of something
Mass (kg) / volume (mXmXm) = Density (kg/m)
Balanced force
Has the resultant force of 0N. It goes opposite ways on an object cancelling each other out. It doesn’t move
unbalanced force
Forces that goes in the same direction or the opposite direction but one of the forces are stronger, moving the object
Resultant force
The final result from another force. Forces in the same direction add. In opposition they subtract.
Contact force
A force that acts between 2 objects that are touching. Friction, push+pull, air and water resistance
Non-contact force
a force that isn’t touching an object but still acts on it. Gravity, Electrostatic, magnetism
Forces
a force is either a push or a pull. It can change the shape speed and direction of an object.
Examples of forces
Gravity, Upthrust, friction , more
Relative speed
Is the relation of one moving objects against another
Relative speed equations
Objects moving in the same direction= fastest speed - smallest speed
Objects moving in opposite= add the speeds together.
When does gravity decrease?
The more further away you are from the centre of the earth.
Weight is measured in.. Mass is measured in…
Weight, N. Mass, kg
