Pulmonary Veins
Return oxygenated blood from the lungs to the left atrium.
Aorta
Receives oxygenated blood from the left ventricle to be transported to systemic cells in the body.

Valves between the atrium and ventricle of each side of the heart.
Semilunar Valves
Valves at the boundary between the ventricle and its associated arterial trunk.
Tricuspid Valve
Located between the right atrium and right ventricle.
Pulmonary Semilunar Valve
Located between the right ventricle and the pulmonary trunk.
Bicuspid Valve/Mitral Valve
Located between the left atrium and left ventricle; also known as the mitral valve.
Aortic Semilunar Valve
Located between the left ventricle and the aorta.
Pulmonary Circulation
Movement of blood to and from the lungs for gas exchange.
