Poor battery health

Signs of poor battery health include overheating and fully charged battery draining quickly or only working with power source. For laptop, perform a battery calibration before replacing. For smartphone, try draining battery completely and recharging before replacing. May be from bad reception and phone always looking for signal, can activate airplane mode or disable wifi, bluetooth, and GPS to help. Can check application battery usage for high draining apps.

Battery is visibly distended, can be caused by old age, overheating, gas buildup, overcharging, and physical damage. Turn off device immediately and replace the battery.
