killer and wife of agamemnon, lover of aegisthus. She is guilty of adultery and fears her husband’s punishment. She is politically ambitious, she wants to help her lover revenge the crime of his father and is also jealous of Cassandra. Most importantly, she wants to punish her husband for offering their daughter as a human sacrifice at the start of the trojan war. Masterfully created a series of bonfires to be lit to tell when her husband would be home and the assisnation is put into action. In Libation Bearers, she must appease the ghost of agamemnon. Ultimately killed by Orestes

deliberately conceived by Thyestes and his daughter, he eventually becomes the lover of Clytemnestra while her husband is away at war. In libation bearers he is killed by Orestes

Orestes

child of Clytemnestra and Agamemnon, in Libation Bearers he must avenge his father’s murder. He kills Aegisthus and his mother. He is haunted by the three furies. It was later purified at Delphi by Apollo. Apollo arranges a trial by Jury in Athens to decide his fate. The vore is a tie and Athena as judge votes to acquit Orestes and forces the furies to withdraw.

sister of Orestes and later marries his friend Pylades, she was very close with her father and hated her mother for murdering him, so she provided libation to his fathers grave. She is able to realize her brother is secretly home and they plot to avenge the murder of Agamemnon
