Angle of Incidence
The angle between the incident ray and the normal at the point of incidence on a mirror.
Angle of Reflection
The angle between the reflected ray and the normal at the point of reflection on a mirror.
Normal
A line drawn perpendicular to the surface of a mirror at the point where the incident ray strikes.
Incident Ray
The incoming ray of light that strikes the mirror.
Reflected Ray
The outgoing ray of light after it reflects off the mirror.
Plane Mirror
A flat reflective surface that reflects light according to the laws of reflection.
Protractor
An instrument used to measure angles.
Ray Box
A device used to produce rays of light for experiments involving reflection.
Trial
An individual run of an experiment, here referring to different angles of incidence used during the activity.
Reflected Light
Light that bounces off a surface, such as a mirror.
