Passive Communication Style
A communication style that submits to another’s demands while concealing one’s own desires and expectations.
Aggressive Communication Style
A communication style that attacks another person’s self-concept and/or expresses personal hostility to inflict psychological pain.
Passive-Aggressive Communication Style
A communication style that expresses hostility indirectly, such as saying yes when you want to say no.
Assertive Communication Style
A communication style that describes personal needs and expectations honestly and directly while respecting both parties.

The process of handling conflict in interpersonal relationships, which can either strengthen or damage them.
Avoiding (Lose–Lose)

A conflict management style where one satisfies their own needs with little concern for their partner's issues.
Compromising (Partial Lose–Lose)
A conflict management style where each partner gives up part of what they desire to find a satisfactory middle ground.
Collaborating (Win–Win)
A conflict management style where parties work together to discover a mutually acceptable solution.
