Aseptic Technique
A procedure used to prevent contamination and protect the patient from infection.
Surgical Asepsis
Protection against infection before, during, and after surgery by using sterile techniques.
Medical Asepsis
The removal or destruction of infected material.
Invasive Procedure
Any medical procedure that involves penetration of body tissues.
Contamination Causes
