Keyframes

The first set of frames drawn by animators that depict important actions or movements. These keyframes capture the extremes of character motion.

Rough animation

Create rough animations with basic motion to finalize timing and structure.

In-between

animators create the in-between frames that connect the key positions.

Clean up

after the keyframes are set, animators create the in-between frames that connect the key positions.

inking & coloring

Colorists fill in the cleaned-up frames with color, either traditionally or using digital tools.

Storyboard

a sequence of sketches or illustrations that map out the scenes planned for a video

Traditional storyboard

involve a series of conceptual pencil sketches that help the writer, producer, and director to visualize their initial idea before any filming or animation starts

Digital storyboard

is perfect for a video animation project because you can use the exact graphics that will be shown in the final video
