Health Program

A coordinated set of actions, strategies or interventions designed to promote, protect, or restore the health of individuals or populations.  Targets specific health conditions, behaviors, or needs and typically include, planning, execution and evaluation to improve health outcomes

Health Service Package

Defined set of essential health services bundled together and guaranteed to be accessible to a population, typically within a primary health care system.

Health Service Package

•It is a comprehensive, practical and prioritized  set of health interventions designed to be accessible and sustainable, ensuring essential health needs of populations are met through the health system.

UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE ACT (RA No. 11223)

•Mandates current health reforms to provide an integrated and comprehensive set of quality and cost-effective services covering the spectrum of care from promotion, prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and palliation, and transform the health system focus from curative and hospital care to a primary care-oriented and people-centered care.

The Omnibus Health Guidelines (OHG) per LIFESTAGE

•serve as the overarching policy issuance integrating key policy provisions governing various health programs and integrating various standards of care.

Republic Act 11036 Mental Health Act, National Mental Health Program

•promulgated to enhance and integrate mental health service delivery to Universal HealthCare through promotion and protection of the rights of persons using psychosocial health services and increasing investments in mental health.

LIFESTAGES

refers to a phase in a person's lifespan from infancy to advanced age that presents specific problems and has specific health needs (e.g. child, adolescent, adult, elderly).

Child

refers to a person from newborn to below ten (10) years of age.

Adolescent 

refers to a person between the ages of ten (10) to nineteen (19) years of age who is in transition from childhood to adulthood. (RA No. 10354)

Adult

refers to a person aged 20 years to 59 years and 11 months

Elderly or Senior Citizen

refers to a person at least sixty (60) years old. (RA No. 7432 as amended)

National Integrated Cancer Control Program

Rule II Section 4 of the IRR of RA No. 11215 or the National Integrated Cancer Control Act (NICCA) established the program

Philippine Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response (PIDSR) indicator-
