RTC tendonitis characteristics, exam/observation, and special tests
Characteristics: Inflammation to RC tendons due to impingement. Acute: 20-40yo, chronic 30-70yo
Exam/observe: Painful overhead and resisted abduction, limited abduction, pain with rotation at 90/90
Special tests:
Drop arm (tear)

RTC rupture characteristics, exam/observation, and special tests
Characteristics: occurs 40+
Exam/observe: Pain with arm elevation, limited active/resisted abduction, passive range is full without pain

Bicipital tendinitis characteristics, exam/observation, and special tests
Characteristics: age 20-45, repetitive overhead,
Exam/observe: pain with overhead, pain with full ext/flex, limited ER at 90degree abd, passive combo of shoulder/elbow extension is painful, resisted elbow flexion is painful
ST: speed, yergason
Subacromial bursitis characteristics, exam/observation, and special tests
Characteristics: Repetitive overhead
Exam/observe: Painful 60-120 arc, active ab with IR limited, passive IR at 90ABD is painful, resisted movements are painful
ST: Hawkins, Neer
AC joint sprain characteristics, exam/observation, and special tests
Characteristics: fall onto tip of shoulder
Exam/observe: 3rd degree step deformity, tender AC, horizontal adduction and elevation is painful
ST: Shear
SICK scapula characteristics, exam/observation, and special tests
Characteristics: ages 20-40
Exam/observe: Malposition of scapula, winging, abnormal scapula mvmt
ST: Scapula assistance test, scapula reposition test
