CNS (Central Nervous)
Primary function: Sending and receiving sensory and motor neural skills.
Somatic
Nervous system that is responsible for voluntary movement and skeletal muscle movements.
Autonomic
Nervous system that regulates involuntary bodily functions such as heartbeat, digestion, breathing, and blood pressure.
Parasympathetic
The body’s resting, calmer nervous system. Basically “the brake” which activates digestion and slows your heartbeat.
Sympathetic
The “fight or flight” nervous system. Increases your heartbeat, gives you dry mouth, slows/stops digestion, makes you sweat, and more.
