how can soluble salts be made
reacting an acid with a metal or insoluble base (metal hydroxide/oxide/carbonate)
how to make copper chloride
mix hydrochloric acid and copper oxide
practical method 6
gently warm dilute acid in beaker over bunsen burner
add in insoluble reactant-will form soluble product as it reacts
keep adding insoluable product until it is excess-stops disolving(this means all acid neutralised)
filter out insoluble reactant to get to salt solution
heat salt solution so it is more concentrated then leave to cool
salt solution will then crystalise
first thing to do when making soluble salt
choose and work out appropriate reagents from from name of salt you want to produce
