Removal from organism of toxic materials, waste products of metabolism and substances in excess of requirements

The discharge of unwanted material from the digestive track.
Difference between excretion and egestion
Egestion removes undigested food or faeces. Excretion removes metabolic waste.
egestion removes waste through anus, excretion removes waste through skin kidney or lungs
Egestion doesnt happen in cells. Excretion happens in cells.
