Tricuspid
Pulmonary
Mitral
Aortic
What are the atrioventricular (AV) valves?
Located between atria and ventricles
Tricuspid: RA → RV
Mitral: LA → LV
What should you know about the tricuspid valve?
Right AV valve
Between RA and RV
Has 3 leaflets/cusps
What should you know about the mitral valve?
Left AV valve
Between LA and LV
Has 2 leaflets/cusps
Also called bicuspid valve
Where are the semilunar valves located?
Pulmonary valve: RV → pulmonary artery
Aortic valve: LV → aorta
Prevent blood from returning to ventricles
