What about the rate in Thermodynamics?
A reaction that is spontaneous does not mean the rate of the reaction would happen immediately. This is because it is in kinetic control and needs a high activation energy for the reaction to occur.
What about spontaneous reactions in other conditions
If a reaction is spontaneous without outside help then that does not mean it is spontaneous with different conditions.
What about spontaneous and not spontaneous?
If a reaction is spontaneous in one direction then It doesn’t have to be spontaneous in the other direction.
What does entropy not determine?
The entropy of the system itself cannot predict the thermodynamic favorability
What does the 2nd law imply?
All processes which increase the entropy of the universe are thermodynamically favorable
